600mm Green Heron

It was a landmark day for me.  I used my early birthday present, a Tamron 150-600mm lens for the first time.  Osuzanna and I went back to a favorite spot, looking for water birds.  We found herons, ducks, egrets, and even a kingfisher.  We didn't have tripods so it was an exercise for me, learning how to hold that lens steady.  I wasn't successful for many of the shots, and the lighting wasn't ideal at times, but wow was I excited when I saw what the lens can do.  I can't wait to get back out with it.
