de Havilland Dragonfly
Originally built in 1937 and delivered to Angola this is one of only two flight worthy DH 90A de Havilland Dragonfly aircraft remaining. A total of 67 aircraft were originally built between 1935 and 1938. At the time they were very expensive carrying a price tag of £2,650.00.
She is at Prestwick for the Scottish International Airshow this weekend along with quite a few other aircraft. Unfortunately some of the display aircraft and events have had to be cancelled at short notice, not least the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight as all the Merlin powered aircraft have been grounded due to a technical issue.
