More Singel Love

Nearly missed the blue hour because of my 'jogs', booo for a healthy lifestyle.

Lucky this lovely sight is only a few meters from my front door.

Between 1869 and 1881 the city walls that had protected Breda for many centuries were demolished and replaced with the elegant singels that are still present today. During that time Brussels was popular amongst the Bredanaars, so a lot of boulevards, mansions and parks were build, to make the city resemble Brussels. The singels and the adjacent streets were designed by engineer F.W. van Gendt.
