Struggling to survive

Someone suggested I get some houseplants which I did so last year. However I tend to forget to water them and my kitchen drops to around 2 degrees at times during the winter. For some reason the plants don't grow well. I put this plant outside so it could get rained on and it may have revived. It's back in now in case we get a frost. I also have a Lucky Bamboo that is looking sad too. Oh well!
