I'm all ears

Sitting in the sun enjoying a coffee when our foster cat jumped up on my knee. She's almost feral and always alert for danger. Her ears are a finely tuned instrument which she plays with precision. Even while on my knee, in a safe place, she's keeping her options open. Safe places, places of refuge are scarce in our modern world. Places where you can relax, be you, no pretences. The word hypocrite is a Greek word, meaning 'one who wears a mask' and came from Greek drama. It meant someone who hides behind that mask. In safe places masks are unnecessary.
