The giant's door

Saturday 2nd September 2017 (1834)

When I got home this afternoon the little people were all excited. They told me that they'd found a giant's door at the base of the tree and three of them were trying to open it. I went out to look but we found the door was locked. They will have to kept their eye on it but I hope they stay safe.

Is it something to do with approaching a half century that finds me lying under a tree "playing" with little people and getting caught up in a miniworld ?
