More Bones

This evening I went with my friend Gazweasel to a lecture about the human remains found on the Thames foreshore as a result of fieldwork by the Thames Discovery Programme as well as those found by antiquarian collectors and resulting from commercial projects. It was really interesting and made me want to get my trowel out! The lecture took place at Surrey University where we both did our first degrees; it was nice to see the old place again.

In other news, Basil had his annual booster vaccination and MOT today. He passed with flying colours and had a lovely time being made a fuss of by the vet I've been calling 'Kirsty' who, it turns out, is actually called Kate. He's still infatuated with her, whatever name she goes by. We also went for a walk with Selina this morning so he's seen all his favourite ladies today!
