Treat

Went shopping early this morning. Decided to treat myself with a biscuit for my morning coffee once I had finished packing it all away.

The local Scotmid Co-Op Bakery had produced these for the opening of the new Queensferry Crossing, bridge for vehicles only, but over the weekend & Monday when the Queen officially opens the bridge folk are able to walk across after names out of a hat or local school kids.

Whether you call them German biscuits, Empire biscuits, flying saucers - although this one doesn't have a toorie, it's nice to see them celebrating something local.

My brother & my Dad would have enjoyed watching the progression of the QF Crossing but would have welcomed the biscuit celebration too.
