A Day Off

I went to photograph a local civil engineering success - replacement of a bridge on our Metro light rail system, completed in only 6 weeks just in time for the schools to go back this week. But my photos of that were rather boring: I preferred this minimalist view of a well-earned day off for the workmen. The road over which the bridge passes will remain closed for another 6 months while they widen it, so traffic chaos will be pretty awful! I'm glad I no longer need to drive in the rush hour.
