Perfect outing
Despite the fact there was a twin missing for the occasion, we still had a fun day out with Mark who came up for a Yorkshire Dales ride in the most magnificent of weather.
With the mist lifting as we set off and a cloud inversion in Skipton as we passed through Embsay, the sun soon warmed enough to be cycling in shorts and shirts. With pretty much no breeze all day, we enjoyed one fine outing across to Malham, up to the tarn and along the beautiful Malham Moor before descending into Littondale and round for a second tea shop at Zarina's before the final stretch home.
Sadly Rich is riding faster than me now but I'm attempting to teach him the art of being a gentleman. Trouble is, he thinks I'm competing with him when I've zoomed down a hill to make it up the other side with less effort. Still have some training to do there! (Although maybe I secretly am :D)
Everybody was out - walkers, vintage cars, cyclists and paragliders (do you see them?)
We haven't half eaten this evening and even made it to watch the Vuelta at 10pm (fairly sure Mark was nodding though!)
