Common Puffball

Only one butterfly on my heathland transect this morning so here's another fungi instead. I'm annoyed with myself for not going to see the very rare migrant Queen of Spain Fritillary that's been seen on the Downs just inland from the coast over the last week. Rain this afternoon and a gloomy damp forecast for the week ahead suggest that its unlikely to be seen again.
