Abstract Thursday .....

.... surprise!!!

As this is R's birthday he took the day off from work!  Well, that is to say he didn't go into work .... he still worked a little bit on the deck!

However, we did plan to have some fun today to celebrate his birthday.  After lunch we took a drive up to Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center as we haven't been there since going for the Saw Whet Owl program last October. 

Now weren't we surprised that by the time we got up there is was pouring down rain!  We hung out in the education center for a bit hoping that the rain would let up, but it never did.  

So it was back home for us .... but stopping at Jacobsburg State Park on our way back.  We were equally surprised to find it not raining at all at this park.  At least not when we first arrived.  Whilst we were at the frog pond it did start to rain a little bit .... allowing me to get this nice abstract.  I have only added a painterly effect to make it a little more abstract.
