Anax junius

...more commonly known as the Green Darner dragonfly (one of the more common species of dragonfly found here in Canada). This one was on the door frame of our garage this morning - unfazed by the opening and closing of the door as well as me going back and forth to take the weekly garbage to the curb. I should have gone back in the house for the dslr camera for a better shot, but my morning last minute rush meant it "had" to be with the camera tucked in my messenger bag.
