Loweswater Show

The first Sunday in September always brings the Loweswater Show. There are many agricultural shows held in Cumbria but the Loweswater show is our favourite. Held beneath the fells in the Lorton Valley the show has something for everyone.

The opportunities for some candid photography are endless as there so many characters just needing to be captured! Not to mention the sheep, ducks, horses, flowers, jams, crafts, brass band, steam engines, vintage cars, ice creams, cakes, herbs, fruit and veg!

Every year Simon enters the limerick competition and usually wins first prize. He must be loosing his touch as this year he came second ! I reckon he was robbed but then I'm biased! He says he's going to save his £2 prize money for something special .......
