Heather and hills

Driving back from North Wales today, I thought I would go and take a look at the Stiperstones ridge. Sadly, low cloud and pouring with rain. So I decided to take a scenic route back, and drove over the top of the Long Mynd. A great drive, and much easier than walking (which is the only way I'd been up there previously). This picture was one of the few opportunities between rain storms, looking east down from the Long Mynd to Church Stretton. Even in dull light the heather was impressively purple.
