The Lighted Life

After the last few days, I felt for some good ol' rustbelt iron today, something which is not a false facade. And I am still experimenting, as I do from time to time, to see if I can recapture the grainy feeling of mono film that reminds me of my dad's images from his earlier days. I am still not there yet but I am having great fun trying.

Here is a funny story from yesterday. As Bonnie and I were leaving the casino, we looked at the SportsBook and noticed that the Minnesota Twins were given 100 to 1 odds over the New York Yankees in a game to be played that night in Minnesota. Bonnie and I debated altering our course to the taxi so that so that we could place a bet "just in case". A $25 bet would yield $2500. She was likely thinking about the girls college fund and I was thinking about a new lens. But, as we debated for a moment or two, we remembered the fact that the Twins have only one two or three out of the last 23 games against the Yankees. So, straight to the taxi it was.

When we landed in Minneapolis, I flipped on the radio to hear that the Twins won in a dramatic fashion and the announcers were talking about those smart enough to bet the long odds. Sorry girls!

Please see in large if you have time as, to my eye, it takes on a different feel and reminds me of when I used to scale the underbridges when I was young and fearless.

Thanks for your kind comments on my Vegas blips. It was fun taking you along.
