Misty Mountain Bungalows

Travelling through the winding roads, with the cool breeze on your face, watching the fog come down from the mountain tops, is an unmatched experience one can have. From Pussellawa if you travel deep into the mountain territory of the island, you will be amazed by the endless valleys, tea estates, waterfalls & sambur deer.

The above picture is that of Lavender House in Pussellawa, one of the many luxury bungalows way up on mountain tops. These're old colonial tea estate bungalows converted into luxury boutique properties which provide ample luxuries to relax, unwind & explore the nature at leisure. Breakfast at 9am, a little estate walk afterwards, lunch at 1.30pm, some light reading by the swimming pool, high tea at 3.30pm, a bicycle ride to a nearby tea factory to explore its process & dinner at 7.30pm with an early visit to the bed would be a perfect getaway. Return to Colombo was amazing which was in an A/C train with glass windows on both sides.

This is one of the best places in the country to just let go of your troubles & be pampered by luxuries.
