Waiting for development

Had to go down for a start on site ceremony for what will be a new Extra Care Housing development. Various Councillors came along to stick their spades into the ground. This guy was just looking on from a distance with a rather ironic smile on his face.

It was a hard won scheme with rather tortuous negotiations with the developer and so I did feel quite proud to finally see it being delivered -will be ready early 2014.

Went out with an old friend in the evening who had been through a very difficult year so it was good to talk with her. Got back a bit late though!
