Family time

After two relatively quiet days, today was a bit more how we like it!

First off, had to put the suitcases away so they weren't in the way of the cleaner! Next, we raced to Mirdif City Centre to watch Despicable Me 3. It would have cost £24 for both of us to go to the cinema in the UK. I searched for 2for1 deals but couldn't find any; so having now watched DM3, I am so glad I didn't shell out that kind of cash! It was entertaining enough but at times, it really strained to hold my attention. So, £7 for us both was good.

Film over, and for once, we didn't stay right to the end of the credits, but raced over to the Peugeot garage to buy a new battery for G's car. The one she has needs replaced, and it turns out she's had it since 2014. A bit unheard of in this part of the world and air-conditioning puts a lot of strain on a battery. That bought, we then got some Puranmal samosas for lunch. We both really missed them!

Waited till 5:30 to install the new battery and Adnan (he runs a small car repair shop in the complex) did a great job of fixing it. We then did the customary checking of tyre pressure, fluid levels at the garage and headed out towards the beach to give the car a run. My blip is of the jogging/walking tracks that runs for quite a length. And then we went to the car wash.

Should have done a shop before getting home, but it can wait till tomorrow...
