Why?

I’m sure some of you creative blippers could come up with a caption for today’s photo!
This rather bizarre, ‘mannequin’ is sitting on the bank of the River Glaven, on private land belonging to the Bayfield Estate.  For what purpose I have no idea, but someone has gone to some trouble to create and dress him, and why he is holding a length of plastic pipe I have no idea!!
 
M and I were out doing our monthly Glaven Valley walk with the U3A Bird Group this morning.  It was a damp, drizzly morning which looked rather unpromising at first.   We particularly enjoyed the ‘café in the woods’ bird watching section of the walk where we all sat at the café window looking for additional birds to add to our list, whilst enjoying a hot cup of coffee and some home-made cake.  In the end, we managed a species count of over 27…not a bad morning’s work!
