Fire breathing dragon...
This was a bearded dragon which we operated on today. The tumour on the swab next the recovering dragon was attached to the left side of her face and it's as big as her head!! It has grown very quickly. She's an elderly dragon and whilst we know we were unlikely to be able to remove the whole tumour, we were hoping to debulk it and make her more comfortable. Actually we think we got it all, which is great news for her. Her owners were so happy, and hopefully she's also feeling better! I also helped amputate a carpet pythons tail after a traumatic injury left it dead and rotten, and we had a baby tiger snake brought in, having been caught in the rotary of a lawn mower. A tiger snake is in the top 10 most deadly snakes in the world, but for the reptile loving vets at my clinic, saving it was the most important thing. Oh yeah, I treated a few cats and dogs too!!!
