Woke up to clearing skies and snow on the peaks.  Wow!  So strange for beginning of September and a shock from +30°C days of August.  I had to muster a lot of courage but I finally convinced myself to go for my long promised bike ride.  I was tempted to ride up the San Nicolo valley in search of snow, but took the shorter option which also guaranteed more time off the roads and in the woods.  This is the start of the ride tracking straight down the hill between the pastures to the valley and then afterwards it was all forest service roads through the woods to get back up again.

Burning a few more extras.  The first is first light looking up the valley to the Sella Group with fresh snow.
