Skyline

This was the last stop on our city-wide tour of Seattle today. We learned some interesting statistics about the city - there are more registered dogs in Seattle than there are children registered for kindergarten, thought to be due to the large millennial population, many choosing not to have children, or to have them later in life. Also, the city is expanding rapidly (1000 people move there every week) which is causing serious infrastructure problems.

We visited the Space Needle, the Great Wheel, the Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum (see an exhibit in the extra - the only museum in the US dedicated to an artist who is still alive), the famous Pike Place Market, we enjoyed seafood and lovely sights, and walked and walked and walked. We were happy to get back to our hotel room and collapse.
