The gireep
Definition: The elusive Yorkshire gireep is a hybrid cross between an African giraffe and a Herdwick sheep. It can only be distinguished from a sheep on a desperately wet day when it prefers to eat leaves from the tree canopy than roam in sodden grass. With a shorter neck than the African giraffe and a short woollen body, it can easily be mistaken for a regular sheep.
