Ringelnatter

I went straight to the water-basin after I got off the train and almost ran over this baby ring snake. I didn't know it was a ring snake then - it's my first one! At first I thought its a dead blindworm, but it was not shiny at all and then it was moving - and not dead at all!

It may sound funny, but this harmless snake acted rather threatening towards me as I was following it with the camera, head up and down, it's little tongue in and out, moving quick and always towards me! I kept my distance. Just in case, lol (it was so little, just a baby - even I could see that much).
After the snake a few rounds in the water with outside temperatures not very high, but good enough. Perhaps the last time at the basin?
