A "Mondadeira"

Today turned out so differently from what we'd expected...

Decided that the priority really was getting electricity to the Land, so began walking out to a property that has solar panels to inquire how they did it... Passed the library on the way, decided to call in, and to our surprise, it was being manned by our friend, Cecílio. He ended up putting us in touch with a local guy who does installations - who came this afternoon to give us an estimate.

I went back to the library this afternoon with a different lens, to get a better photo of Cecílio among the books, and to read through some illustrated journals from the 20's, so interesting to read about Mourão in those days. Loved this drawing of a typical Alentejana rural worker so much that I took a photo, and ended up liking it better than any of the others I took...
