Sangria And The Full Monty

Only on holiday would you contemplate the following ...

We were restaurant-ed out tonight and decided early in the day to have night in. As it turned out it was a full day in. I was awake early to try and get a sunrise photo for the blip blog, but it was thick cloud. That never bodes well for a day on this island. It stayed dry most of the morning, but the cloud continued to build. We stayed on the roof garden and sunk into our Jacuzzi for the morning.

The heavens finally opened around 2 o clock, and it didn't stop until well after seven. On the up side I managed to read through another Fortean Times.

We went for a walk up to the local Pingo Doce supermarket, and we bought everything for a full English breakfast for tea. We sat in the bar for happy hour, had a few cocktails, knocked up a jug of Sangria in the room and sat down to bacon, eggs, toast and tomatoes ... absolutely de-lish! Must admit though ... I've never had Sangria with it before ... Weatherspoons take note!
