This just shows you how deceptive photos can be.  Today it has rained almost without stopping, not pouring but mostly drizzling, and the skies have been leaden with no glimpse of blue that I've seen.
This rose (called Handel) is the one that grows up the side of the front of our house and always flowers well into Autumn.  The background is the white painted frames of our windows which are giving the illusion that the day was bright when nothing could be further from the truth!

In other news: in just over a week we'll be flying to Cyprus, with friends to enjoy 10 days of sunshine, hopefully!
