Another item discarded!

My hairdrier has daily use and my old faithful gave up the ghost yesterday.
Bought a replacement today - I am sure it will not last as long as the original.

Had SOS from wife of No2 son.  She had a puncture and needed to get to the station with grandson who has been invited to Houses of Parliament this evening for a reception.  Only 2 from his college have been selected.  We were held up by closed roads and traffic and got to the station 5 minutes after the train was due to leave but have just learnt they have managed to catch the last off-peak train as it was running late.  I will now have a cup of tea and bring my blood pressure back to normal!
