Entwined
Elder and Clematis entwined in a hedgerow in Northern France.
We are staying tonight at a Cider and Dairy Farm, Les Vergers de Brunembert at Wint, near Brunembert. Members of France Passion, they provide free overnight stays for motorhomes. We are camped in an orchard, beneath apple boughs weighed low with fruit.

We availed ourselves of the available produce for our evening meal and had the Tome du Wint (cider-washed cheese) with the baguette that we bought this morning at the door of our van on the Aire at Boulogne. Both were splendid, as was the farm-produced cider that washed both down.
A walk this afternoon took us through quiet bye-ways where the hedgerows were abundant with foraging opportunity. The blackberries are fat and juicy but the sloes are truly mighty. That's not something one gets to say every day.
