A Year Ago in October

I wanted share this photo.  It is what we have to look
forward to in the coming two months [before winter sets in.]  Already the early trees in town are tinging toward
yellow and orange.

This photo was taken in the UP of Michigan on my husband's
homestead land.  We are heading for the woods for a walk.
Texas the Small, and Stella the Large. [both dogs] are smiling
in anticipation for a Great roam chasing after "who knows
what?"  Know that they are not on leashes.  They are going into
the forested part.  At best the will come home tired with noses
weary, and at worst they will come home wet and muddy, as they
have taken to swimming the beaver channels and pond.
