Poul-Fetan

Poul Fetan is a rural hamlet in Brittany dating back to the 16th century. The last inhabitant moved out in 1976. The local authority bought the village and has gradually undertaken a full restoration of all the dwellings. It is now an open museum, specialising in rural skills and crafts, with demonstrations in rope making, candle, butter making, Breton dancing, pottery, Cider brewing (mmmmhhh), as well as animal husbandry. All of this undertaken by a group of knowledgeable, friendly locals. Brilliant place to visit.
