Scilly isles

We sailed from Penzance.....took about 2.5 hours and it was rough enough for some people to be sick.....but we are good sailors!!!

Landed on St. Mary's and were very impressed by how lovely it was and much quieter than on the mainland.  We had 4.5 hours there and had time to walk out to the point and lighthouse and back which was wonderful!!!  Added a couple of extra photos.....

The return sailing was calmer and we sat at the stern and enjoyed the journey.  Had an interesting chat with a young man from Bristol who has been holidaying on St Martins with his wife and bairn and we covered a lot, mostly political!  And partied friends.  He knew Scotland and liked the edginess of Glasgow.  It was nice to hear!

Home in time for a lovely dinner which I did not have to cook.   I do love hotels!!!
