Footy update:
Despite the Sky Blues being beaten 6-1 last night, it was actually quite an enjoyable trip. The coach journeys went smoothly and we managed to find a pleasant and comfortably quiet back street pub for a few beers before the game.
This was my first visit to Arsenal's Emirates Stadium and it certainly is very impressive. It's probably the best club stadium that I've ever been to although the concourse facilities were actually very disappointing. Having 9,000+ Coventry fans made for a great atmosphere - at least at our end of the ground. We all knew that we were going to lose as Arsenal are one of the top teams in Europe and especially we only put out a weak team (i.e. our usual one).
Oh well, back to league action with an away game at the mighty Oldham Athletic on Saturday. Hmm, I think I might go and watch Shrewsbury instead.
