The Bricklayers Lament

When I arrived at work this morning I saw that Pete and Ben were already hard at work transporting new slates to the roof. Pete reckons he hoisted 744 slates to the roof over 6 hours, he says his arms ache this evening !! As a child I remember my parents roaring with laughter over a recording of Gerald Hoffnung reciting "the Bricklayers lament" which came back to me today watching these men at work !
