Blipping Forty

The Annunciation, Durham Cathedral

Backblip

Here are some images from an evening photography workshop which I attended with a couple of friends in Durham cathedral.  The cathedral was closed to the public and we were fortunate to have the space to ourselves.  An hour into the evening, the lighting was switched off allowing the cathedral to be illuminated with natural evening light which made for a very calming atmosphere.

The main blip is of a wooden sculpture of the Annunciation by a Polish artist, Josef Pyrz and is situated in the Galilee Chapel, an atmospheric side chapel set to the side of the main cathedral.

I've added some extras of the rose window in the cathedral, the tomb of St Bede and a wooden sculpture of the Last Supper.  I have many more images but have quickly processed these in order to be able to get them uploaded, three months after the event!
