Meeting The Relatives
Today the son (Nathan) and his pregnant girlfriend (Harriet) wanted to visit the The Cuevas de las Calaveras caves near Benidoleig Village just a couple of miles from Orba and our villa.
The blipfoto shows Mrs BB looking closely at the skulls from the various stages of evolution of our relatives! The cave extends over 400 metres and was formed 135 million years ago and used in the Palaeolithic (Early stone age) to Neolithic periods - remains having been found in the cave along with many fossils. For the 4 euro entry fee it wasn't a bad way to spend 45 minutes.
This evening we had a farewell meal at 6pm at a local bar for the youngest daughter (Hannah) seen in yesterday's blip before setting off at 7pm to take her to Alicante Airport. We were back at the bar by 9.30pm to have a quick drink - meeting a couple from near Pontypridd (Wales) who'd just bought a house in Orba during the day to live out here. There's quite an ex-pat community here.
