Nostalgia corner & my love of the sea (and sand!)

By the time I was 24 years old I had logged over 72, 000 nautical miles in the Merchant Navy, I'd been in all sorts of weather conditions including a huge Typhoon near American Samoa that threw us 200 miles off course, and I never suffered a single day's sea-sickness.
