BULB TIME:

I have been collecting Fritillaries for many years - well, most of my life ! This is F. Obliqua, almost black. It flowers every year but is not in the least promiscuous, hence is very slow to multiply.

A perfectly horrid day. Strong cold wind all morning & then rain. With the ground so moist, I planted several packets of flower seeds. Alas, more snow on Roy !
