On our way to Lake Tahoe today we stopped at Mono Lake, last time we came through here the lake was almost dry.   California got a lot of rain and snow this year and the lake is way up.  
The second picture is Walker River, this too was just a trickle the last time we came through.
I hope they have another wet winter
