The Smart Axe

This is the kindling-axe.

Big axe.

We use it to chop firewood.

It is quite sharp so we (Euphling and I) are always very careful when cutting kindling (I'm resisting the urge to leave off the "G"s and write in a Yosemite Sam voice).

When using the axe to cross-cut your kindling wood it is quite important to cut the wood part way through and break it by hand.

Don't hit the wood so hard that the axe goes straight through and flips the short half up into the air and directly into your eye. It really hurts if you do this.
