Successful defence

One of my students had her PhD viva today, which I attended as an observer. These are always a nervous occassions but she successfully (and ably) defended her thesis. The viva for me was a perfect demonstration of what a viva should be. 

The Lego in case you were wondering was used to good effect to explain phenomenonography.

Now awaiting train to take me northwards to Pitlochry.
