Verdict

Well, having been tempted by spotting the packet on the supermarket shelf, I had to try it.
And I an not really disappointed, because my taste buds reacted favourably  and I needed little encouragement to take a second slice. And a third!
But Spotted Dick? Not as I remember one of my favourite puds from years ago.  I hadn’t expected it to be anything like my mum used to make, But this came nowhere close to  even shop bought versions  to which we have occasionally treated ourselves.
Having said that, it was more-ish and rather appetising, and I have little doubt I will have another quite shortly.

Verdict ? Yummy, yet not as I recall mother’s!
