Wyoming

Today we crossed the Great Plains into Wyoming and South Dakota.....not in a covered wagon...as the early pioneers did.....but in much more modern transport!
We stopped en route....at Fort Laramie.....which is today a National Historic Site.....
But formerly, this was an important trading post ....and meeting point for trappers, hunters and eventually there was a military prescence
today's Blip shows some of the accommodation for the soldiers at the Fort....and reflects the "life without much comfort" that was the norm in this frontier land.
