Tactile...

I came home tonight to hear music coming from Bethany's room. I went up to find her sitting behind her wardrobe beside her CD player reading the back of the case whilst listening to the CD.

It very much reminded me of the Cornershop video and part of the reason I still buy CDs over digital versions of albums.

I'm glad Bethany gets this opportunity before the music format slides to the less tactile end of it's scale. The kids have couple of racks of CDs to browse, listen to, read theh back of and look at the pictures whilst listening to them.

Yes, you can probably do all those things to some degree with digital copies but I think it has a more immediacy in this form.
