Fast Moving Mist

I was up early to climb Turnhouse Hill, Carnethy Hill and Scald Law on my way to see my Mum and Dad in Biggar for elevenses. Too bloody early, as it turned out: I got no views from the rainy, mist-covered tops. And it was only after I'd started to descend to The Howe at the end of Loganlea Reservoir that the clouds lifted. I managed to take this photo from just below the summit of Scald Law (looking back the way I'd come) during a rare split second of clarity. A moment before and a moment afterwards, there was no visibility.
