Trapped in a Small Room

Today is the second day of TechMark (see yesterday) and is a full day on the project. We started with a lecture to get the results from yesterday and some insights into what is likely to be important in the next quarter. Then we shut ourselves into our individual team rooms for about 2 hours to make all the business decisions required for that period. Then the process starts again.

The team I'm in is doing OK - we're consistent rather than stunning but I think we may manage 2nd place if we're lucky... We're getting on well together , having lots of productive discussions, and learning a lot! We'll have one or two more cycles of the simulation tomorrow morning, then a debrief, then we'll move onto some new topic.

I won't be sorry if that is the last of the time I spend in this particular small windowless room, surrounded by facts, figures and graphs. I suspect there's a LOT more of this sort of thing to come though!
