Collapsed

I had nothing to get up for today, no school run and no real plans.  Unfortunately I had a medical appointment at 8.15am, so had to be up and out earlier than I would on a normal Friday.  I left the surgery at 8.17am!  It was a lovely morning, so I didn’t mind being up so early.  It meant my washing was on the line early and I managed to fit in a few more loads of washing too.

I went for a run and got seven miles in the bag.  I haven’t run that far for ages, and felt I could have gone a bit further. A bit of housework was next, then early afternoon I met a friend for a blether before we went to meet the happy campers off their bus.

A bus load of weary children appeared at 3.30pm almost on the dot.  BB had a great time, and wished he could have stayed for another week, and true to form, he told me that the food was amazing!  Once home he was soon lying on the sofa watching TV, while I braved his suitcase.  I threw everything in  the washing machine, a lot of it covered in mud.  It took two washes to get rid of it all!  I also deposited a bag of unpleasantness outside – it looks like a bag of mud, but I know there must be shoes and a coat in it.

Although he was shattered, it was his first night at scouts.  He was rather reluctant to go, but I managed to encourage him to go.  When he came home the first thing he said was,” Scouts was great – I am so glad I went”.

I spotted this on my river walk to the supermarket, after I had dropped BB at Scouts.
