"Oh Hail!"

One minute it was blue skies, warm and sunny and having hung out the washing on Kevin's balcony porch, Bex and I were preparing to go out for a walk, when we heard a loud clap of thunder followed by a sudden hail storm! The British weather is even more unpredictable than Texan weather!
But it's nothing like what my sister, Jeanette and her family are facing in Florida this weekend. We have yet to see the full effect of Hurricane Irma, but she is sheltering at a kind stranger's house in Tennessee for now, with her daughter. Her husband and son have remained at their house in Lakeland, Polk County.
