Falling with style

After the success of his tandem parachute jump last year we purchased Callum  a solo jump for his birthday in March. Unfortunately, the day on which he did his training was too wet and windy to jump and so we have been hanging on ever since for a weekend with suitable conditions. Today seemed to be it and so we headed over to Strathallan Airfield and waited. There was a queue of other jumpers and  we knew it would be a while until he got the chance to jump and so hubby and I headed off for some lunch. When we got back he was still waiting and the weather had changed for the worse and it looked as though he wouldn't get a jump. Just as we were about to give up and go home there was a change in the weather and they called his name.
If you could see the smile on his face when he landed ( see extra) you would know it was worth the wait. He loved it and is desperate to go again now and aim for a solo free fall. His mother, I have to say, has no similar inclinations.
